What was I thinking?

So, last night I was at my mom's, taking care of the animals while she took a friend to El Paso for a post-surgery check up, and someone knocks on the door at 8:30pm. Now, I live out in the middle of no where, as most of you know, and NO ONE comes to my house unless there's a large amount of arm twisting. Needless to say, being the only one home at the time, it scared the shit out of me and my so called watch dogs. Turns out it's Logan! Apparently he was offered some money for his Jeep which he had been keeping at my house and had come over with his girlfriend Mari to jump start it at take it back to his house. No big deal, but when I went out there a while later to see if they needed any help it was to find cactus exploding out of the hood of the jeep. Large ass pack rat nest! Cripes!
I've never seen one that large, although it's a good guess that maybe the nests hadn't been completed when I had found them. So, we're looking at whats currently covering his engine and all other available space when I make out two babies on top of the engine compartment. However these babies are the size of a full grown mouse. Of course, what with there being two females in the general vacinity, there was lots off "Aww! How cute", at which point Mari asks if I have anything to keep them in. It's at that point where the red warning bulb starts flashing in my head. Was I keeping them or was she keeping them? And for god's sake, there surely had to be some way to put them somewhere equally warm where their mother could find them...
Well, needless to say, there was not, being as how Logan's jeep was sitting on the only clear spot on our property. So, guess what I have in a shoe box in my bathroom tub?
We've got a winner folks.

It's at this point I would like to mention that I finally got Comcast cable set up at my apartment and what normally would have taken at least 15 minutes to load that picture only took all of 2 seconds! Fuck ya!

Anyway, now I'm trying to figure out what to do, and I also need to make a guess at how old they are, but need to do more research on them first. They are so frickin' cute though. Hope that Aric doesn't figure it out , although I don't know if Logan has spilled the beans to him yet or not. We'll see. I'm refraning from naming them at the moment due to the supposed theory that you wont grow attached to them if you don't name them...I'm thinking that's a load of bullshit because I haven't named the last 4 pets I've managed to aquire and I still managed to grow way too attached to them...

Well, homeork must needs doing.
