Midwinter was kickass!
The food wasn't as good as last year but it was still good. Always fun to try different stuff out.
I had to stand guard which wasn't too bad....My feet hurt like a bitch though.
On either side of the main doors they put...what'cha-ma-call-'ems...pillars!
Right, but the bottoms and the top were made out of plaster of paris and I was stationed next to one.
I had to like, guard it because people would come up and try to lean on it. Idiots.
And then, Lady Barbara was walking by and these two other people were charging past and so she went to back up and ended up stepping on the bottom of the pillar, tearing.
So this chick went and ran for some duct tape. Middle of court, right? I'm kinda helping her tear tape and one of the heavy guards is holding up the pillar so it wont fall over... It was funny.
But yeah, feet hurt like a bitch.
Kirby was there...It was cool...and yet...I didn't like the way I felt and acted around him...
We had fun non the less. David was there and so was Theron. We almost didn't get a table. We found one bare table...and so we asked about it...and they said it was fine if we took it but then, next thing I know this really bitchy lady comes up and tells us that she's taken up all 12 seats. The way she said it made me feel like wrapping her scarf around her neck until she turned purple. By this time my dad is starting to throw a fit in front of all these people and....::makes face:: It wasn't like it was gonna be the end of the world if we didn't find a place to sit....Anyway, we found a table seconds before the grand explosion.
Go me. ;)
We set up stuff and had some spare feast gear for Theron...I should of thought to bring extra stuff...but it all worked out.
Aric was pissing me off....But that's nothing new.
Bronwen got all the guard Christmas presents...hehehe....Dr.Scholls.
They definitely made the night a whole hell of a lot better.
Court was long but not nearly as long as last year. We got to dance for about 2 hours.
It was great. There was a small group so we got to have fun and Lady Barbara taught us some dances I hadn't seen before.
Hehe, Toss the Wench was fun.
By the time we got to that dance there were a whole bunch of people there.
Every one stands in a circle and goes around and does some fancy steps...then you turn to the guy on your left and put your hands on his shoulders and jump while he kinda like, guides you to his other side with his hands on your waist...then do it all over again. And go around and around.
What was funny was some guys would like...barely touch your waist and just walk you over. Others, like Pierre and Sam Tinker would lift you all sorts of high and then set you down but that would totally throw you off and you would have to really concentrate to what you were supposed to do next.
But yeah, high in the air and twirling, very cool.
This morning was verra fuzzy though. Staid with Nae at the house she was sitting.
That is such a kickass house.
We watched LOTR. I wanna see Twin Towers now! Damnit all. Theron, Kirby, David and my dad kept picking on me about it because they already saw it.

Carol gave me a massage this morning. I feel a little better now...but yeah, it was weird.
Well, I'm tired, I'm gonna go to bed...
